There are two scenic roadside pullouts on the highway south of Denali
National Park that offer a good view of Mt. McKinley. This photo was taken at
one of them. Usually the mountain is obscured by clouds, but not on this day.

My father served in the Air Force and he was stationed at Elmendorf AFB,
located just outside of Anchorage, for part of his career. We lived in Nunaka
Valley and I completed kindergarten and first grade there.
