Weather: Excellent until mid-afternoon. Then a thunderstorm passed through that lasted about an hour.

I was impressed with the friendliness of the Canadian people I met at the border facility and in Regina.

The agent at the border facility was training a new employee, a young girl who appeared to be about eighteen or so. It was her first day on the job. He went through the normal questions and such, and towards the end of the process he turned to her and with a very serious look said "I think he's hiding some drugs. You need to strip search him." A look of absolute shock and horror fell across on her face. It was everything I could do to keep a straight face until he told her he was only joking.

Entering Canada from North Dakota at the North Portal, SK port of entry.

A late afternoon thunderstorm brews in Saskatchewan.
