Weather: Partly cloudy but no rain. Temperature was in the 60's. The cloud cover was a welcome relief from the sun.

The landscape changed from flat prairies to deep rolling hills.

At the park, I camped next to a group of five high-schoolers (two couples about 16 years old and a boy about 13) from Grande Prairie, AB. They had decided that morning to go camping and brought with them six cases (!) of beer that they iced down in a plastic garbage can. They were definitely having a good time and invited me to join them, which I did. I turned in about 1 AM and they were still going strong; I fell fast asleep. I awoke about 7 AM, made breakfast, and broke camp. They were all asleep after a hard night of partying.

Scenes from a day's ride across Alberta.

A few scenes from Sturgeon Lake.

A bear-proof fish cleaning station.

Camping at the park. My partying neighbors had not arrived yet.
