After much research I
selected the Haywire 14 fuse
panel and wiring harness kit. I ordered one and am very pleased with its
quality. With the extensive modifications planned for this vehicle the wiring will be complex. No plug and play here! To properly plan the wiring it is necessary to dig into every circuit, and a place to spread out the work is essential. The garage bay where the car is normally parked at home is an ideal location. With a little luck everything can be sorted out before the car comes home from the Prestige Mustang shop. A folding table was set up in the home garage bay and soon became covered with Mustang and Falcon wiring diagrams, photos, etc. ![]() The Haywire fuse panel and harness are at the edge of the table. A Falcon dashboard harness is on the floor. Other Falcon harnesses are located in a different part of the room. Update: All critical circuits have been traced and planned. To complete the installation, several additional items were identified as desirable and/or needed. Wire, terminals, split-loom tubing, and a few miscellaneous items were ordered online from Waytek Inc. This vendor has a huge assortment of competitively priced automotive electrical wiring supplies. A Blue Sea Systems Model 2723 dual busbar will be mounted adjacent to the battery to provide a single point power and ground distribution system. |
