The air box is on the floor in front of the car.
The air box needs to be mounted on the fender apron in the approximate location as marked. Unfortunately, the air box will not fit because the alternator is in the way.
A new right side fender apron repair panel for a 1993 Mustang was obtained from Ford and grafted into place to provide the needed clearance. The repair panel already has the air box cut-outs.
A similar operation was performed on the left side of the vehicle for the battery. A new 1993 Mustang fender apron repair panel and battery tray were used here.
