The stock Ford 8 inch rear end will be replaced by a 9 inch assembly with disc brakes.

Specific details are still undecided at this point but I'm leaning towards a new (not salvage yard) limited-slip differential (Eaton?), 3.50 ratio, 31 spline unit.

Currie Enterprises and Drivetrain Direct are two of several custom rear end fabricators under consideration for this project.

The rear end will likely be slightly narrower than stock to accomodate 15x7 inch American Racing Torque Thrust D wheels with the largest tire that will fit comfortably (TBD) in the wheel well.
