Instrument Bezel

To make stereo installation easier I decided to change the multiple-piece dash plastic to the single-piece style used by some Falcon models (particularly sedans). A replacement single-piece instrument cluster was obtained from eBay and the extra dash holes (now unused) were welded shut.

The replacement instrument cluster bezel was undamaged except for a broken mounting tab on its rear. However, the plastic chrome was almost completely worn off and the paint was very faded. It looked like a piece of junk from an old junk car.

The bezel was sent to John Hetherington of PDQ Restorations. John repaired the broken mounting tab, rechromed the plastic, and detail-painted the bezel. The bezel looks new again - this is some fine craftsmanship!
