Parts Car |

Several years ago I had
purchased another 1965 Falcon hardtop. Unfortunately, this car had major rust
damage in the floors and needed some expensive mechanical work. It became
obvious that it would cost much more to restore the car than it would ever be
worth, even if the repairs were limited to those necessary to make it
roadworthy. So it simply sat in the driveway for several years. I finally decided to part it out to support this project. Here it sits after several bolt-on parts have been removed: Here the left door and quarter panel have been removed for use on the Cobra Falcon: ![]() It's sometimes a little sad to see a classic car cut up or crushed, even when it makes sense to do so. There is some consolation in knowing that the parts will allow another one to be restored. The roof, tail panel and the panel in front of the trunk were cut out next. A reciprocating saw made short work of it. ![]() The remaining quarter panel was cut out and will be stored in case it may be needed someday. Hopefully not! ![]() |
